Surikatta is a child company of the larger G4S. They approached us in designing the UI&UX for an iOS App aimed at the US market.
The main goal of the app is to create a cohesive and friendly ecosystem with their smart home devices and a social platform where users can warn one another in case of danger.
Challenge
The challenge was to deliver an app that would carve out its own niche, and have a more human touch compared to its competitors.
We also needed to deliver a solid sense of comfort and security, so that the users would feel at home. In order to do this we’ve come up with different screens that put the house and the neighborhood in focus.

What we did
The project began with getting to know the team and understanding their existing products, followed by discussions with the target audience to identify their needs and expectations. After analyzing the competition, we highlighted the app’s key differentiators and strengths.
Intensive working sessions led to initial layouts and quick sketches, which evolved into a complete wireframe of 56 screens, covering the entire user flow.
We then tested the wireframe with real users, making adjustments and optimizations based on their feedback. Once the structure was validated, we focused on defining the color scheme, typography, buttons, icons, and textures in line with the brand guidelines.
These elements were integrated into the wireframe, bringing the final design to life. The process concluded with adding transition animations and preparing the files for development, successfully moving the project into the build phase.
Results
Although the project advanced through all design stages and received positive feedback from initial user testing, it ultimately remained in the testing phase, with development paused before full market release.
