Semimaraton Iasi is the largest running event in the Northeast of Romania, drawing in runners from all over the country for a vibrant, history-filled race.

Whether participants run individually, with friends, or as part of a team-building experience, the event offers a unique course peppered with landmarks rich in tradition and stories.

Subsign, as a proud partner and sponsor, not only helped amplify the event’s presence through a website overhaul but also participated in the event itself, embodying the spirit of collaboration and community.

Our first task was to design a new website that matched the event’s growing popularity and the vibrant energy of its participants.

One of the main challenges was organizing the existing content—like registration details, race routes, and event updates—in a way that made it easier to navigate, especially since users had struggled to find important information on the old site. We also needed to ensure the site was user-friendly for a diverse audience spanning various age groups.

Additionally, the old site had security vulnerabilities, particularly concerning the protection of registration data. Addressing these issues and enhancing security became a key part of our mission.

We worked closely with the Semimaraton Iasi team to develop a fully modernized website, addressing the specific challenges the event faced.

Consultancy: We worked with the Semimaraton team to understand their goals, needs, and vision for the website. This ensured that every decision we made was aligned with the event’s core values and long-term objectives.

UX/UI design: Our team created an intuitive user interface that made navigation effortless. Whether users wanted to register for the race, learn about the course, or check out photos from past events, the new design made it easy to find relevant information.

Content development: From registration forms to race details, we optimized the content to be clear, concise, and engaging.

SEO: We enhanced the site’s search engine optimization to make sure Semimaraton Iasi was more visible to people searching for running events and community gatherings.

Web development & API integrations: We built a robust backend, including custom API integrations that streamlined registration and improved overall site performance. We also implemented enhanced security features to safeguard user data.

Testing & launch: Before the website went live, we conducted extensive testing to ensure functionality, performance, and security were all up to standard. Once the tests were complete, we launched the new Semimaraton website.

Ongoing support: Even after launch, we remain committed to providing support, making sure the site stays updated, secure, and functional as the event grows.
